Dining at WP24 in Downtown Los Angeles
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’ve lived in Los Angeles for most of my life and I have yet to experience all of this amazing city. It has so much to offer especially when it comes to dining. I frequent downtown L.A. about twice a week for work and I’m amazed and excited to see all the new projects being built. For those that haven’t visited downtown L.A. currently, it’s been going through a revitalization. There’s a lot more food options down here now more than ever so I like to try a new dining spot whenever I get the chance.
I was recently invited to the WP24 by Wolfgang Puck restaurant inside the Ritz Carlton Los Angeles which is located at LA. Live in Downtown L.A. I’ve never been inside a Wolfgang Puck restaurant so I was super excited to learn I would be visiting one of their restaurants.

I invited one of my good friends to dine with me after work. We parked inside L.A. Live’s East garage and took an elevator up to the ground level. The JW Marriott is right next to the Microsoft Center and near The Staples Center so it’s a great place to grab a meal prior to a game, concert, and event. It’s also a great dining spot for a girl’s night out or an after work celebration.
We entered the hotel and took an elevator to the 24th floor. The dining decor is very stylish and sexy while the floor-to-ceiling windows provide stunning panoramic views of Downtown Los Angeles and the surrounding city. Our table was in the main dining room which is on the east side of the restaurant. We walked by the bar, the beautiful lounge area, and the wine bar to get to our table. The dining room ambience is perfect and the views are incredible!
Inside WP24
The restaurant offers a modern interpretation of asian cuisine. It features an a la carte menu which frequently changes due to the seasonal and local ingredients. We started off with cocktails. I had a Sangria and my friend had a virgin Lychee Martini. The drinks were made just right.
Appetizers
The appetizers were next. We tried a lot of appetizers and we savored each bite. Some of my favorites included the prawn toast, spring rolls with lobster and prawns, and steamed nap buns with pork belly in a sweet bean garlic sauce. My friend loved these as well as the beef puffs and the crispy suckling pig.
Entrees
Up next was the entrees: beef short ribs and hand roasted Alaskan halibut over spring market vegetable and sauce. The beef short ribs were very tender and tasty and the Szechuan spices was not overpowering. The halibut was so flavorful! I actually loved this more than the short ribs which is surprising to me since I’m a big meat lover.
Dessert
At this point, I’m stuffed. We still had dessert left and I wasn’t sure if I had room for more; however, once they brought out the dessert dishes, I made room, haha. First we tried the Chocolate Forest which is a green tea mousse with a cherry ice cream sorbet and fresh cranberries sprinkled with toffee and dark chocolate. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and tartness. The Chocolate Forest did not disappoint but the dessert I salivated over the most was the Snow Queen, which was shortcake topped with nectarines and a passion fruit sorbet. Each bite was like heaven in my mouth. The cake was so moist and the sorbet was sweet and tangy.
Overall we had a wonderful experience at the WP24. Excellent food and excellent service. The next time you’re in the Downtown LA area for a game, concert, event or just looking for a place to eat after work hours, I highly recommend you stop by the WP24.
Those plates are like works of art! There is always room for dessert 🙂 🙂 🙂
