My 4-Step Winter Skin Care Routine
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of iHerb. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
My skin has been in a happy state for a while now, and that’s mainly because I make changes to my skin care routine as the season changes. Just like how our wardrobe changes with a change in season, the products we put on our skin should change too. My skin doesn’t like the winter season at all which is probably why it’s my least favorite season out of the four, haha. During that fall and winter transition, I noticed more dry patches around my cheeks and clogged pores in my t-zone area.
Hydration and exfoliation are the key steps to maintain good skin care during the winter season and it all starts with the products I use. For my winter skin care routine, I’m using quality beauty products from my favorite online natural products company, iHerb.
Why iHerb Is My Go-To Place For Beauty Finds
I grab a lot of my beauty essentials at iHerb because it’s super convenient and affordable.

To ensure quality, all of their products are stored and shipped directly from climate controlled warehouses. iHerb also offers customer service 24 hours a day / 7 days a week in 10 different languages. What I love most about iHerb is that you can shop right from your bed to find the right natural products that meet your individual needs.
My Winter Skin Care Routine
iHerb sent me a curated box of some of their favorite beauty products from iHerb brands. I’ve tried several iHerb brands in the past and have been a fan of their products so I was super excited to try these. Like I said earlier, I usually switch up products in my skin care routine anytime the season changes so this was perfect timing.
So without further ado, here’s my simple, 4-step winter skin care routine!
Step 1: Cleanse
First off, I cleanse my face with an oil cleaner. What I like about Radiant Seoul Balancing Charcoal Cleansing Oil is that it does a really good job removing my makeup. I love this step because it feels like I’m giving myself a face massage every time I apply it. It’s a purifying oil cleanser too and the Charcoal in it does a good job removing dirt, impurities from my pores. My skin feels so soft and smooth afterwards. It also has calming green tea, licorice, chamomile and rosemary.
Some days, I’ll go in with Sympli Beautiful Coconut Smoothing Micro Polish after cleansing my face. I use it at night as it exfoliates, unclogs pores and helps to reduce the dark spots on the face. It helps with redness too but my main issue is hyperpigmentation caused by acne so I’ll see how much my face has improved after longer usage. I do love the nice glow I get from it thanks to the synergistic blend of Vitamin A, hyaluronic acid and Coq10.
Step 2: Tone
After cleansing, I reach for my toner. I’ve been using Prescriptskin Retinol Toner for a few weeks now and I really like it so far. I’m in my 30’s and including retinol into my skincare regimen is a necessity at this point. Retinol is known to help reduce signs of premature aging, fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. I’m happy to find a toner that includes it and other powerful ingredients such as antioxidants and plant extracts. It cleanses and refreshes and I love that it doesn’t dry out my skin like other retinol products I’ve tried.
Step 3: Serum
After applying a toner, I go in with a serum. I’m liking Radiant Seoul Revitalizing Youth Protect Serum. I’ve noticed improvement with the firmness of my skin after a few days of use and my skin looks brighter too. The serum is also known to help with skin tone and enhancing moisture. It’s the perfect anti-aging serum!
Step 4: Moisturize
The last step in my winter skin care routine is moisturizing my face with a good cream. I’m actually using two creams— one for morning and one for night. I use Radiant Seoul Brightening Moisturizing Cream for my morning skincare routine but you can use it at night too. This cream has everything I need in a moisturizer. I mentioned earlier that I suffer from hyperpigmentation and this cream from Radiant Seoul contains Niacinamide, Shea Butter and Adenosine to help lessen the appearance of dark spots and enhance brightness and moisture. Niacinamide is a B Vitamin and is known to reduce dark spots. I love applying Shea Butter on my skin (and hair) so I was happy to see it as an ingredient as it has already helped with the dry patches on my cheeks. Moisture is a must especially during the winter season.
For nighttime, I use PrescriptSkin Glycolic Acid Cream 5%. It contains lavender, chamomile & calendula as well as safflower, cucumber & green tea. It can only be used at night. I love how it hydrates my skin and I like that it contains powerful ingredients that gently exfoliates my skin. Overtime it can help with discoloration and reduce pore size. Another cream in my winter skin care routine that’s great for my skin. I can’t complain!
When applying a cream, I always make sure to apply it on my face and neck. People tend to always forget the neck which is just a huge no no. The goal is to maintain a youthful face; but you also want to have a youthful neck. Right?
