What I’m Reading This Summer
Like any lazy summer afternoon, I’m laid out on the couch catching up on the latest issues of my favorite magazines. I can go a few hours devouring magazine after magazine and thanks to a new app called Texture I recently downloaded, my living area is no longer cluttered with magazines because I can read them straight from my iPad.

Texture offers “all you can read” access to hundreds of magazines on your phone or tablet. No matter where I am, whether I’m relaxing at home or traveling on the subway, I can read as many stories or full issues as I like from my favorite magazines like Allure, Vogue, Real Simple and Bon Appétit.
I’ve been thinking a lot about my summer plans lately, like my upcoming dinner party to exploring new towns and restaurants and just trying new things. I came across this Summer Travel Bucket List article from the latest issue of Southern Living magazine and it inspired me to create a my own version of a summer bucket list filled with travel and activity plans to keep my weekends busy. Plus it reminds me to take advantage of how fast times flies by. I still can’t believe will be entering August in a few days.
I plan to throw an outdoor dinner party with friends next month and I’ve been thinking of recipe ideas for my main dishes. I came across this Braised Brisket dish from the August 2016 issue of Bon Appétit and it totally inspired me to throw a Mexican-theme dinner with brisket tacos as one of the main dishes. I can’t wait to get started!
As a blogger, I’m always looking for inspiration for my next post and having access to a ton of magazines in the Texture app makes the process so much easier. This beauty article from the latest issue of Redbook was a great read. It gave me blog post ideas and I learned of new products that I want to add to my beauty routine.
