Healthy Habits To Do Everyday
Seriously the smallest changes can make a significant difference. Check out these five healthy habits to do everyday to see a major difference in your daily life. Remember, the end goal is to have a daily routine for healthy body and mind.
1. Write 3 Things You Are Grateful For
I’ve been doing this for 3+ years and truly helped me grow the most. Studies show that daily gratitude helps you feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve your health, deal with adversity and build strong relationships.
So, it’s good to make this one a daily habit. One of the easiest ways to do so is with a journal. My go-to is The Five Minute Journal. I love this journal so much and it makes it so easy for newbies to try. It’s very structured and guided and all you need is five minutes each day. Easily one of my favorite daily habits to improve life.
2. Go On A 30-Minute Walk
Walking is my favorite way to relieve stress and just improve my overall mood. Walking just 30 minutes a day or more on most days of the week can improve or maintains your overall health.
There are tons more benefits of daily walking. It can with:
- Weight loss
- Stress reduction
- Stronger bones
- Improved balance
- Increased cardiovascular fitness
- Improved mood
3. Read for 30 Minutes

For me, reading isn’t just a hobby. It’s a form of self care. It’s well known that reading can…
- Improve your memory
- Improve focus and concentration
- Increase your vocabulary and comprehension
- Reduce stress
- Fight depression symptoms
- Prevent cognitive decline as you age
- Be a great source of entertainment
I aim to read at least 10 pages a day, preferably right before I go-to bed. If you enjoy reading books, but haven’t done so lately, make it a habit to read every night before you go to bed or any time of the day that works best for you.
4. Plan Your Day With Intention
I’m way more productive, present and focus when I plan my day with intention.
Here are some tips to help you be more intentional with your days:
- Take 10-15 minutes each morning to plan your day
- Choose a planning tool that works best for you
- Make regular planning a habit
- Make sure your daily tasks are built around your goals
- Have at least one daily priority
- Practice time blocking- splitting your day into distinct blocks of time
A great tool to use to help you plan your days is with a planner. I have tons of different printable planners over at my online shop so go check them out if you haven’t done so already. If you prefer a physical planner, I highly recommend one of my favorite planners: Papier Daily Planner. There’s space to plan your days, make daily and weekly schedules, write to-dos, review goals and even shopping lists.

5. Get 7+ Hours Of Sleep
What helps me get enough hours of sleep each night is having a good sleep hygiene. Things like setting a sleep schedule and having a nightly routine, can help you get the best sleep possible. Practicing a good sleep hygiene is a great way to get enough hours of sleep each night. Good sleep hygiene is all about putting yourself in the best position to sleep well each night.
Here are some tips you can adapt into your own:
- Have a set sleep schedule
- Follow a nightly routine
- Incorporate positive routines throughout the day (i.e. stay active, get some sunshine, less caffeine in the afternoon, etc)
