Hey guys! So two weeks ago, I wanted to start the New Year off right with a fresh hair care routine. That’s why I decided to do the Pantene 14 Day Challenge using the Pantene Gold Series Collection and today I’m sharing my results.
Day 1: Why I’m Doing This Challenge
In the summer of 2017, I decided to stop relaxing my hair. This was a major life-changing moment for me because I’ve had my 4c hair relaxed since I was a child. I had to wait another year to grow out the “relaxed” hair so I can finally do the big chop. Since then, I mainly wore protective styles like wigs and braids to avoid flat ironing my hair so it can grow healthy and strong. My main goal was to bring health back to my hair which meant keeping heat away from my strands and embracing my natural coils.
Today, my natural hair continues to grow beautifully and at a desired length where I feel more confident showing it off. Finding the right products for my hair care routine hasn’t been easy though especially in the winter. My hair constantly lacks moisture and can tangle easily too. So, I wanted to recommit myself to daily self-care starting with a better hair regimen because I’m tired of having a bad hair day. â €
In this Pantene 14 Day Challenge, I’m shaking up my hair care routine hoping to solve two issues by the end of it:
- moisture retention
- manageability
Here are the products I’m using:
- Pantene Gold Series Shampoo
- Pantene Gold Series Conditioner
- Pantene Gold Series Curl Defining Pudding
Now, let’s see the results!
Day 7: Braid Out
On Day 7 of my Pantene 14 Day Challenge, I used Pantene Gold Series Shampoo, Conditioner and the Curl Defining Pudding. After using the shampoo and conditioner, my hair felt a lot softer, had more bounce and I noticed less breakage. With each wash, it got easier to detangle and comb through, plus my hair smelled amazing! Not one bad hair day this week either… woo hoo! I did a braid out and loved the results. The curl defining pudding helped keep the stretch from the braid out and reduced frizz.
Day 14: Wash & Go
I’ve done wash & go’s in the past, but temporarily stopped because the products I used always left my hair too hard and flaky. For day 14, using the Pantene Gold Series Shampoo, Conditioner and the Curl Defining Pudding, my hair was so much easier to detangle and when I used the curl pudding, I was amazed at how well it defined my 4c hair and NO FLAKES! Thanks to the Pantene Gold Series Collection, I’m having more great hair days and can confidently rock wash & go’s.
I hope you take on the Pantene 14 Day Challenge as well and look forward to a great hair day regularly!
