Recipe: Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps
Since the beginning of the year, I made a promise to myself that I would change my eating habits and start making healthier choices. So far, I’ve stuck to that promise. I changed my diet, bought a gym membership, and started consuming less alcohol.
There are still days when I just want to eat whatever I want like pigging out on my favorite Mexican dish- tacos. I’m from Los Angeles and I love eating tacos because they’re so easy to prepare. I couldn’t give it up completely, so I decided to make a healthier version of it and boy does it taste good.
This Turkey Taco wrapped in lettuce is my favorite lunch recipe. It’s low carb, light, and packed with tons of flavor. Instead of red meat, I used Foster Farms Organic Ground Turkey because it’s still nutritious and a lean source of protein. It’s locally grown in California’s Central Valley, contains no antibiotics, raised free-range on organic land and fed an organic vegetarian diet, and it’s 100% natural. Yup, no added hormones or steroids!
This is my first time making these turkey taco lettuce wraps using Foster Farms Organic Ground Turkey. The recipe turned out great and I ended up eating 3 of them. The flavors are just so darn delicious!
I also decided to make my own taco seasoning because it’s a lot healthier than the prepackaged ones and there’s less sodium, no sugar and no preservatives. If you prefer to use your own taco seasoning, than just switch out with the dry seasonings.

I love this! Eating healthy no longer means missing Taco Tuesday!
Wow this looks so good! I love a good lettuce wrap and my family enjoys taco night! We decided to do it twice this week instead of the traditional once a week. This would be a great switch for homemade tortillas.
Your pictures are stunning! My husband just started this new diet, definitely want to try this dish for him.
These look delicious. I’ll have to give these a try for dinner soon. I’m sure it will be a hit with the family.
Yum! We love tacos and it’s actually on the menu this week. But we’ve never tried using turkey though. Thanks for the recipe. Can’t wait to try it!
Great way to cut a few extra calories out, also. Sometimes the bread ends up overpowering all the other flavors.
Hmm. This may be lunch today. It is tough making the best choices for your body…especially when it isn’t the best choice for others in the house.
