Recipe: Guacamole Turkey Burgers
With all of the eating over the holidays, I needed to get back on track to eating right and what better time than the start of the New Year. Living a well-balanced life is important to me and I want to inspire others to do the same. The New Year is the perfect time to commit to cleaner eating habits and make smart decisions when it comes to your daily meal choices, exercise, and overall well being.
It is possible to make a lifestyle change that is sustainable. How you might ask? Well for me, one of the first things I did was incorporate more lean protein into my diet like ground turkey. It’s the perfect substitute over red meat. I use ground turkey in almost all my lunch and dinner meals because there are so many awesome and creative recipes to make with it like these guacamole turkey burgers I’m sharing with you today.
This Guacamole Turkey Burger is one of my favorite recipes to make for lunch or dinner. It’s light, healthy, flavorful and quick to make. I used Foster Farms Organic Ground Turkey because it’s still nutritious and a lean source of protein. It’s locally grown in California’s Central Valley, contains no antibiotics, raised free-range on organic land and fed an organic vegetarian diet, and it’s 100% natural. Yes, no added hormones or steroids!
With Foster Farms Organic Ground Turkey, I made these amazing Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps a few months back. The wraps were so delicious so I decided to use it again for this turkey burger recipe. I’m glad I did because the burger came out so gorgeous and yummy. The guacamole is fresh, bright and creamy and the turkey patty is hearty and flavorful.
