Father’s Day is coming up and I’m still doing what I can to get ready. Every year, I plan something special for my dad because he deserves some “me time.” My dad is in his early 70’s but he has no desire to retire soon. He loves his job, he loves working, and he couldn’t be any happier. Everyday he wakes up at 6:00 am, heads to work around 7:30 am, comes home around 6:00 pm, then heads to the gym, and will be back in time for dinner. He truly is the #ULTRADAD that doesn’t let his age slow him down.
Since I was a little girl, I thought of him as Superman because he could handle anything. When I was in school, he would drop me off and pick me up from after-school activities, helped me with my homework, and comforted me whenever I was feeling down or stressed from homework, school bullies, and etc. To this day, I still think of him that way. No matter how busy he is, he still makes it a point to answer my calls. When I need him, he is always there. So, I’m looking forward to celebrating with my dad this Father’s Day because he deserves to be celebrated.
