Recipe File: Apple Cider Moscow Mule
This apple cider moscow mule recipe is an easy fall cocktail that blends apple cider and cinnamon with the traditional moscow mule very well. It takes only 5 minutes to make!
This post is all about apple cider moscow mule.
It’s finally starting to feel like fall here in Los Angeles and this cocktail recipe certainly tastes like it. I love a standard Moscow Mule but I wanted to put a seasonal twist to the drink and it’s amazing. The addition of apple cider pairs perfectly with the ginger beer while the cinnamon adds a lovely fall aroma. And of course instead of regular glass or cocktail glass, I made this delicious drink with copper mugs since that’s what they are traditionally served in.
I purchased my moscow mule mug from this company on Amazon because they sell authentic copper mugs with no inner linings. With the holidays coming up,  these cool mugs will make excellent entertaining gifts for both men and women. Don’t you think? One of my favorite things about these copper cups is that it will keep this refreshing cocktail for a long period of time. Once this apple cocktail hits the mug, it takes on the temperature immediately.
The apple cider cocktail will taste way better in a chilled copper mug.
Traditional moscow mules are typically made with vodka or gin, ginger beer (not to be mistaken with ginger ale that’s more spicy and sugary), fresh lime juice and crushed ice cubes. Well I decided to give it a delicious autumn twist by adding apple cider, a more refined version of apple juice, and a dash of cinnamon and this fall twist turned out fantastic!
I’ll even garnish it with apples, cinnamon sticks and sometimes a lime wedge or lime slice. It takes me only 5 mins to put this together so you can serve immediately. It always tastes so good that you forget that there’s alcohol in it. This apple moscow mule is becoming a more classic cocktail in my home as it’s one of those drinks you can enjoy all fall long.
Instead of making one ahead of time, it’s best to make these when you’re ready to drink one or when your guests ask for one as the ginger beer can go flat.
Apple Cider Moscow Mule
These festive cocktails is one of those drink recipes that will have your dinner party guests enjoying every sip. I would say it’s one of my more popular recipes around the holidays so I always serve it.
What I love about this fall moscow mule recipe is that you can make a number of variations to make this perfect fall cocktail even more festive for your Thanksgiving and Christmas parties. Try switching out regular vodka with caramel vodka, apple vodka, your favorite bourbon to make it a Kentucky mule, or fireball cinnamon whisky. Be sure to check out my Cranberry Moscow Mule here!

For garnish, you can add an apple slice, lime wheel and a cinnamon stick. Also if you have a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients in it, shake and then pour inside the copper cup. Lastly you use hard cider if you don't have time to buy apple cider at the grocery store.
