How to Get Your Feet Summer Ready
Now that Memorial Day has past and the sun is finally here to stay, well in Los Angeles for the most part, it’s time to get your feet ready for strappy shoes and cute sandals. Before you slip into your sandals or open-toe shoes this summer, you might want to do something about your dry, cracked heels. Rough feet never looks good but you can definitely make them look and feel beautiful again with the right essentials. By following this simple beauty regimen, your feet will be summer ready in no time.
Exfoliate
You could take a pumice stone to remove dry, calloused skin from the bottom of your feet; but, for faster and even better results, Amopé Pedi Perfect Wet & Dryâ„¢ Rechargeable Foot File is all you need. I started using it about two weeks ago and the results have been superb! It’s new from the Amopé line and it’s the first leading brand to work on both wet & dry skin. It’s waterproof and cordless so you can easily buff away dry, hard skin anywhere- even in the shower or bath tub. It’s also rechargeable and has dual settings so you have more control on what your feet needs.
From first glance, it looks like it would be painful but it’s totally safe and painless. All you do is press the on/off button, switch between low and high speed, and glide over hard skin for no longer than 3-4 seconds in one area. After you’re done, just make sure to recharge it. It removes the dead layer of skin fast and makes my feet feel smooth again. I definitely feel more confident stepping into my sandals now.
You can find Amopé Wet & Dry™ Foot File at Target in the foot care aisle. In fact, Target has a Cartwheel offer happening right now until June 30th where you can get 5% off of the Amopé Wet & Dry™ Foot File. You can get the coupon here.
Moisturize
After exfoliating, hydrate your feet. I made a DIY Foot Salve, but any moisturizing cream will be fine. What I suggest you do is apply a thick cream or hydrating oil all over your feet and then put on some cotton socks right before bed. Once you wake up, you’ll have super soft feet.
Beautify
If your toe nails are looking extra long, give them a trim and file them down. Then pick a bright nail polish color that goes with the summer season. Go with a bright fun color like pink, coral or orange and don’t forget to add a top coat to really make your toes pop. I picked this pink color because it always brings a smile to my face and it looked great with my sandals.
Try and pamper your feet at least once a week and use the Amopé Wet & Dry™ Foot File to ensure they stay soft.

This is a great reminder for me to pamper my feet! I’ve been going out in flip flops, but they definitely need some love!
I totally need a foot pampering day! I did manage to paint my toes a few weeks ago for a wedding. That was like a first in about a year. I know very sad.
