Self care can mean different things to different people depending on their needs and lifestyles. For some, that may be meditation or yoga; others may find relief in cooking healthy meals or getting enough sleep each night. 1. Professional: This is self care related to your work life. When you practice self care at work, you’ll be able to adopt self care practices that will lead you to having a healthy work-life balance. So they might include having clear professional boundaries, eating a nourishing meal during lunch time, negotiating and prioritizing your needs, and etc. All of this will help your overall stress at work.
2. Social: If you’re lacking in relationships, get out there and get to know people. Meeting new people is the best way to prevent yourself from feeling lonely. The more meaningful connections you have with others, the better off you’ll be.

It’s also easy to get caught up in striving for success and not taking care of yourself physically. That’s why it’s important to take time to exercise, eat healthy meals, and get enough sleep. Self care isn’t selfish – do it for your own sake!
5. Emotional: Well-being is often ignored. It’s important to take time for ourselves and think about things that make us happy. This can mean volunteering, doing something creative, journaling, or taking a walk. You’ll love the self care ideas in this area in my list below.
