Ahh yes, lemonade. My favorite afternoon summer drink when I’m relaxing at home and the perfect drink to serve guests. Whenever I have my friends over, they love sipping on this tasty, summertime drink. I make mine with fresh ingredients and a lot of love. It quenches my thirst on hot sunny days and we’ve been getting a lot of those here in Los Angeles.

To make this drink, you only need a couple of lemons, some mint leaves, sugar, and of course…water. I’ve been using this amazing water filtration system called  the EveryDrop™ PopOut Filter & Pitcher for my mint lemonade recipe. I like it a lot because it can deliver great-tasting water fast and I don’t have to go out and spend money on bottled bottles.

Each EveryDrop™ Micro Contaminant Filter can filter 60 gallons of water. That’s the equivalent of 450 water bottles! It’s filtration system helps to reduce bad taste, odor, chloramine and chlorine from your water every time. My taste buds have definitely noticed a difference.

I also love its versatility. You can detach the EveryDrop™ PopOut Water Filter to fill any container so you can enjoy freshly filtered water at home or on the go. As you can see below, I placed it on top of my lemonade  pitcher to easily add filtered water. This product is amazing!

The filtration is pretty fast too. It freshly filters water 5x faster than other leading brand water filtration pitchers. In other words, it can filter 1 gallon of water in just two minutes! It truly does make filtered Water at the Speed of Life®.

You can find the EveryDrop™ PopOut Filter & Pitcher in stores—such as Walmart—and online.  To find one near you, use the EveryDrop™ Pitcher Store Locator.

Now on to my mint lemonade recipe. Here’s how to make it!

Mint Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5-6 whole lemons
  • 1/3 cup of mint leaves
  • 3/4 cup of sugar (have extra if needed)
  • 8 whole cups of filtered water

Instructions

Step 1. Cut the lemons in half and squeeze the juice from the lemons over a strainer into a glass measuring cup. You should get about 1 cup of juice.

Step 2. Add mint leaves and 1/4 cup of sugar into a small pitcher and gently mash together with a wooden spoon.

Step 3. Add the strained juice into the pitcher and stir to completely dissolve all the sugar.

Step 4. Grab your EveryDrop™ PopOut Water Filter and place on top of your lemonade pitcher. Using a measuring cup, get 8 cups of water from the faucet and pour into the EveryDrop™ PopOut Water Filter.

Step 5. Remove the EveryDrop™ PopOut Filter and pour the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar into the pitcher. Make sure to stir well to ensure all the sugar is dissolved (You can also add more sugar if needed for more sweetness).

Step 6. Leave it in the refrigerator  to chill for at least a few hours.

Step 7. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices if you like. That’s it!

  2. That looks so refreshing and I just bet it taste amazing. I grow my own mint and add it to everything but I’ve never thought to use in my lemonade. I can’t wait to try this recipe.

  3. This is so cool! I just made a mint lemonade sorbet this week. YUM I love mint and lemon together, so tart and refreshing at once. I’m going to take a look at this filter. We spend a fortune on a special filter for our fridge and sometimes don’t have time to go out and get a new one; this is cool for when we want filtered water in a pinch!

  4. What an easy to make refreshing lemonade option that is also good for you. A great substitute for a sugary summer drink. I am going to try to make this!

  5. I’m getting excited just thinking about all of the options for flavored water you can make with this. This would certainly make drinking water more enticing.

  7. Never heard of putting fresh mint in my lemonade, but it looks really interesting. I will have to give it a try next time I make lemonade.
