How-To: The Modern French Tip Manicure
I’ve been purchasing a lot of nail polishes lately for my upcoming summer nail art tutorials and my latest color obsession is with pastel shades. Pastels is the “it” shade of the spring and summer season and I love pairing it with gold accents.
Today’s mani is my take on the modern day french tip manicure. I love minimal designs and this diagonal pattern is such a fresh and easy mani that anyone can do at home.
To get this summer nail look, simply follow the step-by-step instructions below!
Used: Sally Hansen Base & Top Coat, Maybelline Color Show Green With Envy, Maybelline Color Show Gold, NYC Top of the Gold Top Coat
Step 1. Prep nails with Sally Hansen Base & Top Coat.
Step 2. Paint your first color (Green with Envy) over the entire nail.
Step 3. Once dried, apply strips of tape in a diagonal angle.
Step 4. Paint your second color (Bold Gold) over the diagonal details.
Step 5. Once dried, add two coats of the top coat (N.Y.C. Top of the Gold) to enhance color. It also gives your french tip a bit of sparkle. ;-D
Step 6. Lastly, remove strips and finish with Sally Hansen Base & Top Coat.
