Many mornings throughout the week I find myself rushing out the door. Sounds familiar? When I don’t have time to make a sit-down breakfast, I look to good ole toast. I know, I know, hearing the word “toast” for breakfast sounds so boring and inefficient; however, I’m talking about a quick and easy healthy breakfast toast that is hearty and filling. Yup I’ve upgraded my toast game and now you can too.
These healthy breakfast toasts are such a clever idea! Filled with superfoods and fruits that will delight your taste buds. I usually have one pre-workout, so I can have just enough energy to do my morning exercise.
The next time your morning turns into a marathon at your house and you need something to whip up quickly, make toast and fancy it up! Below are 6 super creative (and super easy) breakfast toasts that are tasty and healthy.
Healthy Breakfast Toasts
Ingredients
- 1 slice of good quality bread (I like 100% whole wheat, Sprouted and Ezekiel bread)
- 1-2 tbsp(s) of cream cheese or ricotta cheese
- Assorted toppings- avocado, apples, raspberries, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, kiwi, chopped pecans, chopped almonds, agave syrup (or honey), cinnamon
Instructions
- Toast bread lightly
- Spread the cream cheese (or ricotta cheese)
- Add choice of toppings
